Desert View Memorial Park Cemetery Plot Amenities
Desert View Memorial Park was established in 1978 by two men from the Mt. View Cemetery Corporation, with the intent to start their own cemetery which they could run correctly. After considering three potential sites for their new cemetery property, William Truscott and Robert Hinze selected a property in the Victorville community which had the greatest potential for growth, as well as a great location. The cemetery property is located right next to Interstate 15.
Desert View Memorial Park is now the largest cemetery property in the Victorville community. Desert View consists of 14 developed acres with an additional 38 acres that is ready to be developed as need arises.
Desert View features three exceptional areas that were requested by members of our community. First is the Veteran’s Lawn, which honors the commitment and sacrifice made by Victorville community veterans. The second is the Garden of Remembrance, a garden dedicated to the placement of cremated remains, which offers an affordable way to memorialize loved ones within a peaceful and dignified setting. Finally, the second Catholic Lawn, which was dedicated and blessed in 2004. The lawn radiates a sacred air as you look upon the Our Lady of Guadalupe, Holy Family, and Sacred Heart statues.
In addition to all this, Desert View Memorial Park has created a separate memorial area within their cemetery property to memorialize the pets of community members. Losing a lifelong animal companion can be just as difficult as losing a close human friend, and while it is not legal to place human and animal remains in the same cemetery plot, this separate area allows owners a peaceful location to memorialize their pets.
