La Vista Memorial Park, established in 1868, is San Diego County’s only family-owned memorial park. Originally founded as Rancho De La Nacion by the Kimball family, it evolved from Silver Gate Cemetery into La Vista Memorial Park. The site includes a historical archive featuring Civil War graves and a historical map from 1912. The park’s annual Memorial Day celebration and the Frank A.
